Unfortunately, despite his extreme popularity among Marvel fans, Deadpool isn’t in the base game. Fortunately, Deadpool will be added to Marvel’s Midnight Suns later down the line as DLC content. While it’s certainly disappointing for fans who were excited to spend some quality time with the Merc with a Mouth in one of the game’s many hangout spots, it’s at least good to know that he’ll make it to the game eventually.
We don’t know when specifically Deadpool will be coming to the game other than the vague “early 2023” window provided during the announcement trailer. Along with Storm, Morbius, and Venom, Deadpool is part of Midnight Suns’ season pass, which adds the four new characters, additional story content for each character, and 23 premium skins for the existing lineup.
It’s worth pointing out that Deadpool and the rest of the season pass cost an additional $50 on top of the base game’s price. Developer Firaxis assures that the additional content associated with Deadpool and the other DLC characters will be well worth the cost as the stories will be more focused on the new characters instead of being sidelined in favor of the game’s overarching plot.
It also appears that you won’t be able to purchase Midnight Suns’ DLC characters individually, meaning that if you want to add Deadpool to the collection of heroes hanging around the Abbey, you’ll need to pay for the rest of the DLC as well.
