As of January 2021, if you close your account before the one-year anniversary date, any funds remaining in your Venmo account will not be accessible to you again without contacting us. Please keep in mind that closing your account does not instantly move money to your bank or return it to the original senders.

If you want to use Venmo in the future, you will need to create a new account and re-add your bank information if your old one is deleted.

You can use the temporary phone number method to work around this problem with Venmo. You may utilize either the DoNotPay app or the Receive SMS website to accomplish this, as described in the previous section.

You can’t remove your Venmo history, but you may make all of your transactions private. When you make your prior transactions private, just the receiver and sender will be able to access them, effectively hiding them from the rest of your buddies.

You may have two Venmo accounts using separate bank accounts or even the same bank account. If you and your partner or family member share a joint bank account, having two Venmo accounts is a fantastic feature.
